Description:
This CME activity consists of the ASGE video, Endoscopic Mucosal Resection - LGI, followed by a post-assessment and evaluation.
This DVD identifies and discusses the different types of Endoscopic Mucosal Resections (EMR), such as lift and cut, suck and cut with a cap or using a band ligation. You will be able to view actual video demonstrations of these techniques within the colon. A section on managing EMR complications related to bleeding, perforations and stricture is also included. The DVD concludes with a section on following up patients after EMR.
Target Audience:
Practicing gastrointestinal endoscopists, gastroenterologists, gastroenterology fellows and trainees, medical residents, physician assistants and nurses.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:
• Discuss the role of EMR in the management of premalignant lesions of the GI tract.
• Identify and describe the indications, procedures, complications, and follow up management after EMR.
• Perform EMR in different parts of the GI tract.
