Type: Upper GI Endoscopy

This CME activity consists of the ASGE video, Endoscopic Tissue Sampling of the Upper GI Tract: From Forceps to Optical, followed by a post-assessment and evaluation.

Adequate tissue sampling is the most essential element of endoscopy. The results of biopsies significantly influence clinical decisions and patient management. This DVD will first review the indications and basic techniques of conventional forceps biopsy by specific GI tract location and by disease such as Barrett’s esophagus and benign/malignant gastric ulcers.
